POWER OF THOUGHT

Dunno, the below seems like a lot of bullshit.

A being working for a future, must compute what needs to be done to
bring that future about. One does not live in the present and expect
the new future to arrive.

A hamburger pusher at Macdonalds wants to fix computers. He
probably should take classes on computers or start playing with them.
This will involve risk in investment, as all these things cost money.

Continuing to push hamburgers might be necessary for the moment,
but if that is ALL he devotes himself to, without computing what ELSE he
should be doing to bring about that future, the future will never
happen.

He might wait around until a computer teacher walks into the store
and offers him a class out of blue. More likely he will have to persue
such teachers and opportunities himself, in other words in his free time
when he isn't pushing hamburgers.

Having a vision of what you want is useful, but whether it has any
dependable causal quality is arguable, other than making the person more
vigilant for opportunities that do fall in his lap, or more persistent
going out and hunting for them.

A hunter has this problem all the time, he wants his land to have
so much food that the deer fall into his traps without effort. But the
land is lean and his vision is not working.

How long does he have to wait? Until he is dead of starvation?

On the other hand continuing to do what he is doing, even doing it
well or better or perfectly, will never bring him to the land across the
barren straights where the deer are plentiful. He has to take the risk,
sometimes out of desperation, to MAKE things get knowingly worse in
order to possibly find something better in his life.

That some divine power is looking over him, or his thought is
causal in any manner whatsoever is questionable.

Take two star crossed lovers, crash landed on opposite sides of the
universe. Each gets the vision and thought that they will find each
other. When? Before they die, just to be separated again?

In less dire circumstances, perhaps if they are both in the same
city, they might arrange by thought alone a divine seredipity to find
each other, since ones travels through the city are very much random,
and turning left or right for a few days might run them into each other.

Same thing in finding new customers, or closing a sale, things
mental might be causable with good mental visualization and postulate
control.

But making clear postulates won't stop that asteroid from coming in
and wiping out everything. YOu can claim that's because of the weak
postulation of others, but again YOUR postulation is unlikely going to
affect their postulationg, so for somethings you are just doomed.

It probably helps to want what you want, the guy hunting deer maybe
he can't stand deer meat, but its the only thing he knows, so his
postulates are counter opposed, to find and to not find deer meat at the
same time.

So he makes a strong empty vision of what he really wants but
has no clue what it is either because he has forgotten it, or never
experienced it.

His vision is then to one day know what his vision ought to be.

      Good luck,

      Homer
