      Indeed.  The self luminous perception of consciousness can not be 
replicated by the mechanical learning by being an effect of the material 
universe.

      "Love and shame can not of force and mass be made."

      This is part of the machine medium theorem, that if a whole can do 
something then it is merely coralling the same ability in one or more of 
its parts to do that same thing in a more useful manner.

      All of mechanics is channling ability, not creating ability.

      Pain is not force, and so machines made only of force and mass
can't feel pain.  Mere complexity can not violate the something can't
come from nothing rule.

     All of emergent behavior obscurists to the contrary.
