Old psi-l

----------------------------Original message----------------------------

Having just had an inane and rude private mail conversation
with Norm Gall, I must make the following points.

He has signed off of my list ADORE-L for lack of anything
intelligent to say, and I have signed off his SKEPTICS list,
because self flagellation is not my ball game.

Now I tried to post something here on PSI-L which has in its
charter a very specific line about how this is not the place to
get into discussions about whether or not such phenomenon happen,
nor have to deal with challenges to our experiences.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this list is for the sharing of
experiences with some attention to asking why they happen, and
how to bring them about in other people.

Has Norm Gall ever shared any psi experiences with you?

If so I apologize deeply for being wrong, but it seems to
me that his postings are inevitably an attack on psi experiences
and any possible explanation for them that are not mere discounts
or explainings away of them.

This conflict has lead to some acrimony between me and Norm and
even the moderator of this list who seems to have his head screwed
on straight, but I for one can not see continuing to post on this
list if the only good reponses I get are by private e-mail and the
only public reponses I get are from guardians of the truth like Norm.

Now Norm has made it clear that he would prefer I would sign off
this list and has even said that if I intend to stay on I must
abide by some civilized rules of conduct, set out by him no doubt.

As Norm has apologized to me for ever having tried to
talk with me, I do not expect much comment from him on this matter,
but if any of you would like to give me your opinions about my postings,
about their match with your experiences, about my dogmatic pronouncements,
or 'Christian Born Again' attitudes, I would be most happy to receive
them by private e-mail. I may be born again, but I am not really Christian.
I find most Christians to be solidified skeptics.
