I received a letter from Small, Larkin and Kidde today, registered
mail, regarding copying of copyrighted works of LRH and the Church.

The first paragraph says who they are and who they represent and
says it is regarding "your unauthorized copying of certain works, and
portions of others, into the data bases of certain computer services."

The second paragraph states that I am obviously aware of the copy
protection that exists for Hubbard's works, and I am also aware that
such copying is not permitted without permission. It says I am in
violation of 17 U.S. Code Section 106. It also points out that "The
maintenance of unauthorized copies in a database also is infringement."

The third paragraph says that this letter is a demand that I "cease
and desist from all copying of these works, and any portions thereof,
into any data base without the express authorization of the copyright
owners." I am also required to remove all unauthorized copies from any
extant data bases into which I have placed copies.

The last paragraph requests a prompt response from me to avoid
further litigation.

Comments by private or public mail welcome.
